🚪 Welcome to Monstropolis! 💡

It's official! The upcoming new land at Disney's Hollywood Studios inspired by Pixar's Monsters, Inc. now has its confirmed, official name: Monstropolis!

You heard that right—you won't just be visiting a "Monsters, Inc. area," you'll be stepping right into the heart of the Monster World's bustling capital city, where Mike, Sulley, and the gang are hard at work generating power!

This massive, immersive expansion is confirmed to feature:

A groundbreaking suspended roller coaster that will send you zipping through the iconic Door Vault, a first for any Disney park!

All-new themed dining, shopping, and experiences that bring the streets of Monstropolis to life.

The former Muppet*Vision 3D theater building will be reimagined, though an exact replacement show has not been detailed in the latest official previews. According to BlogMickey.com, recent display materials have omitted the previously announced "whole new theater show" from the official list of attractions.

Get ready to check in to the city where laughter is the new energy source. We can't wait to explore Monstropolis when it opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

🚨 Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Gets a Tech Upgrade! 🧀🐭

Big news out of EPCOT! 🎉 Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closed from November 10–13, 2025 for a quick refresh—and when it reopens, it’s ditching the 3D glasses! 👓❌

Disney’s officially announced that the ride will return with enhanced 2D digital visuals, clearer imagery, and new lighting and props throughout the queue and attraction. That means smoother storytelling, crisper scenes, and a more immersive experience—no glasses needed! 👀✨

📣 From Disney:

“Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will experience a short downtime Nov. 10–13, 2025 and will return with enhanced digital visuals and clearer imagery projected in 2D. Remy’s fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months.”

Walt Disney World has officially unveiled the poster for its upcoming 4D show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, set to debut November 7th at Disney’s Animal Kingdom — and it’s a visual celebration of unity, energy, and Zootopian charm.

🎨✨ Farewell to a Legend: Drew Struzan (1947–2025) ✨🎨

I celebrate the icons who shaped our imaginations—and few did it like Drew Struzan. The legendary movie poster artist has passed away at 78, leaving behind a legacy that defined the golden age of cinema.

As a kid, I had a lot of the posters that he painted—those final, perfect movie posters that completed a collection, capped a VHS shelf, or hung proudly on my wall. And more often than not, they were Drew’s. His work wasn’t just promotional—it was emotional. His posters felt like the movies themselves.

From Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Back to the Future to The Goonies and Blade Runner, Drew’s signature style—rich, painterly, and mythic—made every film feel like an epic. Spielberg called him “a master of emotion and adventure,” and Guillermo del Toro said his art “shaped our dreams.”

🖼️ Drew didn’t just illustrate characters—he captured feeling. His posters were finishers for fans, collectors, and dreamers alike.

Steve Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011—but his impact on Disney continues to shape the magic we know today.

💡 As the visionary behind Pixar, Jobs didn’t just revolutionize animation—he transformed Disney’s future. After selling Pixar to Disney in 2006, he became Disney’s largest individual shareholder and joined the board of directors. His creative philosophy helped usher in a new golden age of storytelling, from Toy Story to Up to Wall-E.

🏰 In tribute, Disney CEO Bob Iger ordered all Disney flags to fly at half-mast for a week—a rare honor that reflected Jobs’ profound influence on the company and its culture.

✨ Steve believed in the power of imagination, simplicity, and storytelling. His fingerprints are on every frame of Pixar magic and every leap Disney made into the digital age.
