We want to express a big thank you to everyone who made last night’s show such a success. A lot of people are involved in producing a show like that. It takes imagination and a lot of hard work. Selection of the right people is important. This pre-work began with and was carried through by Jameson Hall. Leah Randolph and Susan Greenoe were the decorating ladies. Glenna Schmill and Leah met people as they came in and assisted them in locating their reserved seats. The band had a lot of songs to prepare in getting ready to make the performers as comfortable and successful as possible. Our band last night was made up of Le Gaines, steel guitar; Tom Newton, lead guitar; Marty Self, bass guitar; Robert Wright, keyboard; Kyler Wright, harmonica; and Shannon Christian, drums. Our co-hosts, Jim “Big Bear” Huff and Jameson Hall, kept the show moving along. Tyler Hudson worked from his “crow’s nest” to keep everyone sounding good. Other performers joining the band for the evening were Lucy Conner, Janet Cox, Carrole Stanford, Jeanne Simmons, Leah Randolph, and Jameson Hall. Many of the cast members came up with costumes to reflect the characters they were portraying. Last night’s show included more than singing familiar songs. There were skits, stories, and jokes, in addition to the songs to make the show a fun night for everyone. Susie was kept busy at the snack bar. It was apparent that people enjoyed the pulled pork dinners that Mr. and Mrs. Hall provided. The house was packed with people who really enjoyed the evening. We are sorry that others who wanted to come were not able to because the seats were all reserved before the show started. We want to thank every one of you for coming and for being generous in your support of the Little O’ Oprey. Thank you, EVERYONE, for the part you played in making the show a success.
