Looking back on Chloee & Ty Fischer’s wedding last September and I can’t help but smile.

I had so much fun getting to know these two and their families throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself. It was one of those celebrations where you could feel how excited everyone was to be there.

We kicked off the fun with the Freeze Frame Game, then kept guests entertained during dinner with Copy Cat Kiss and the Newlywed Game. There were so many great moments throughout the night, and the crowd was all in from start to finish.

When it came time to dance, their guests absolutely showed up. The dance floor stayed alive all night long and made for an unforgettable end to an amazing day.

What separates a great wedding from a headache for your guests?

Focusing on the guest experience. It’s not just about making things look pretty, or picking the right venue, the details that matter to guests are often things like:

- Timing (i.e. not having to wait around in between events, or major unexpected delays)

- Temperature (sometimes this is out of your control, but choosing to have a outdoor wedding in July with no air conditioning or fans, or not having a back up plan for rain for an outdoor ceremony is your decision that may lead to guests leaving early)

- Transportation (like making sure guests have a way to get to your venue, park there or provide a shuttle or public transportation options)

- Directions (make sure guests know where to go after the ceremony. For larger venues with multiple rooms, make it obvious which room to go to next)

- Seating (i.e. a seating chart that doesn’t break up couples or groups of friends / family members. Honestly not many people want go out of their way to make new friends at a wedding.)

- Food and beverages (plenty of them!)… the munchies can hit hard during cocktail hour and during the late night hours of the party. Having some kind of finger foods or snacks available will make a big difference for your guests.

Throwing it back to one of those nights that had everything dialed in from start to finish.

Case & Rachel Wiarda’s wedding at The Pines Black was a true celebration all the way through.

We kicked things off by handling ceremony sound seamlessly, setting the tone for the entire day, and elevated the space with a full uplighting package that brought the room to life once the sun went down.

The reception energy started strong with a fun NFL-themed grand march, then dinner turned into entertainment with crowd favorites like Copy Cat Kiss and the Newlywed Game.

Once the dance floor opened, it was game over in the best way. Their friends showed up ready to party, and the energy stayed high all night long!!
