Been putting a little more of me into this place.

The pictures on the wall. The name on the door. Little things I’ve wanted to get done, finally coming together.

When you walk in, I want you to feel comfortable talking about your idea, asking questions, and figuring out what feels right for you. Especially if it’s your first time.

Been a little too comfortable putting myself last.

I’ll make time for clients, drawings, the business. Then keep telling myself I’ll get back to the gym tomorrow.

Today, I finally showed up. I’m working on taking care of the person behind all the work, too.

If you e been putting yourself last, let this be your reminder to make a little room for you today.

I’m learning that I don’t have to run at full brightness every day to still care about what I’m building.

Sometimes the sketchbook opens and the work flows. Sometimes I sit there for a while before the first line.

Both days count.

We’re dimmers. When things get heavy, we can turn the light down without calling ourselves a failure. And when we’re ready, we can turn it back up at our own pace.

Today’s Wednesday Sketchbook Session is for anybody carrying something people can’t see.

Your light is still on.

Save this for yourself, or send it to somebody who needs a little room to breathe.

Depression can hit even when things are going good. That’s been real for me lately.

I painted today because I needed somewhere to put what I was feeling. Creating helps me express things I don’t always have the words to express. It isn’t a cure, and I don’t want to present it like one. It’s just one way I get through a hard moment.

I’m sharing this for anyone who’s been showing up, getting things done, and still struggling behind the scenes. You deserve support even if nobody can see what you’re carrying.
