SouthCoast Community Foundation Awards “New Voices, New Places” Grants Initiative expands ArtWeek SouthCoast participation across new cities
SOUTH COAST, MA - The SouthCoast Community Foundation (SCCF) is pleased to announce the recipients of its inaugural New Voices, New Places grants, awarding grants of up to $1,000 to 14 organizations to support community-led arts experiences as part of the 5th annual ArtWeek SouthCoast, taking place May 8–17, 2026.
ArtWeek SouthCoast is a region-wide festival that highlights hands-on, community-centered arts experiences across Southeastern Massachusetts. Serving as a free promotional platform, the festival connects residents and visitors with opportunities to engage directly with artists, makers, and cultural organizations.
Designed to expand participation and bring fresh creative energy into the regional festival, New Voices, New Places provides funding to nonprofits, community groups, and cultural organizations in Attleboro, Brockton, and Taunton, communities with strong cultural assets that have been underrepresented in past ArtWeek programming. The awards will help fund creative programming taking place during the festival week.
“We were excited to see such a strong range of submissions from Attleboro, Brockton, and Taunton, reflecting the depth of creativity across these communities,” said Patti Rego, Director of Communications & Community Engagement at the SouthCoast Community Foundation. “SCCF is proud to support these projects and encourage people to get out and explore all that ArtWeek SouthCoast has to offer.”
Through this targeted investment, SCCF continues to grow ArtWeek SouthCoast’s geographic reach while deepening its impact, ensuring more communities can participate in and benefit from the region’s creative economy.

About ArtWeek SouthCoast
ArtWeek SouthCoast is an annual regional arts festival celebrating creativity across the South Coast region of Massachusetts. Originally launched in 2021 as SouthCoast SpringArts, this festival continues in the spirit of ArtWeek MA, the statewide arts celebration presented by the Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center from 2013–2020. As the first regional continuation of ArtWeek MA, ArtWeek SouthCoast remains one of only two such festivals in the Commonwealth, today expanding into a more inclusive and region-wide celebration.
