We have about ten days left... If we don't raise some donations, this is going to spell the end of nine years of Project Christmas. I'm really not sure what to do at this point.

About the Families:

Dad has terminal cancer, and their 9 year old daughter has profound disabilities and is on a ventilator & feeding tube requiring 24/7 home care. This summer, the family's home experienced a roof leak and partial collapse that lead to the destruction of their artificial Christmas tree & other stored holiday decor. The family also lost all of their coats / winter gear and is in need of replacements before the weather gets too cold.

Parents to a new child, born in July 2023, are struggling to make ends meet after the warehouse job where Dad worked closed down and all staff were laid off. He has taken an overnight job but mom has been unable to return to work since the birth of their baby. Recently, the family took in a two year old child of a relative, who has profound hearing loss. His fostering was a sudden and emergency situation, and despite having very little extra to spare, the young parents took him in just months before the birth of their first son because they were the only safe option besides foster care; They are currently in the process of permanently adopting the little boy.
Dad lost his own mother to cancer when he was 15, and his father passed away suddenly and without warning last year, and Mom's only remaining family support is her disabled mother who sometimes stays with them as she frequently is hospitalized due to on going health issues. Grandmom has a very limited income (disability) and is unable to help provide for the household. The entire family is working really hard to get through the holidays, but they are attempting to do the best they can and would be grateful for any assistance this holiday.

Family #3 is new to New Jersey. They moved here after the death of the family's father, having lost him to Covid in 2022, which he contracted while battling lung cancer. Reeling from thier loss, the family is starting over, with help from relatives. They still have subatantial medical bills and are trying to get thier family on solid ground after such a devistating loss. The family's home is deeply in disrepair and they are struggling to repair thier home's heater which needs to be replaced - a bill they just cant afford on top of trying to give the family a Christmas this year. Two of the children are profoundly deaf and the entire family speak ASL, but their Neice (16) who recently came to live with the family would
love books on ASL as she's still learning!
