Join MOWA tomorrow for a lecture with Pachia Lucy Vang on paj ntaub (“flower cloth”), the vibrant textile tradition at the heart of HMong cultural expression. More than decoration, these intricate embroidered and appliquéd designs carry stories of ancestry, place, resilience, and survival. For generations, paj ntaub has preserved cultural memory through periods of upheaval—from the Secret War in Laos to refugee camps and resettlement in the United States. Vang will share how this enduring art form continues to connect HMong communities to their history while inspiring new generations of artists, makers, and culture bearers.

Enjoy family fun this Saturday, June 13 at MOWA! During this Second Saturday, children and their caregivers will seek inspiration from The American Landscape: Beyond the Horizon as they build miniature cities, paint landscapes, and design parks while imagining how people shape and connect with the land.

Second Saturday takes place the second Saturday of each month, drop in anytime from 10:00 to 2:00.
