Just as the British Invasion began in the sixties, so did the musical career of a young Rink L Finish. In his pre high school years, he rode a city bus to the heart of Milwaukee to take drum lessons. Without the interaction of other musicians or a school band, it was difficult to pursue his passion…making music. Rock and Roll was still in the forefront as he switched gears learning guitars. Bandin
g together with two guitar players and a drummer, Rink was playing bass and singing Progressive Rock in a band. Through the years, he developed his vocal skills by playing dances and parties with several different guitarists and the same drummer, in a wide variety of musical styles. Such was the case with Rink, but he was never asleep at the “Musical Switch.” One night while working at one of Milwaukee’s live music bars he was handed a microphone behind the bar and became “The Singing Bartender.” Meeting a whole new group of musicians and entertainers developed into life long relationships. These led to over 15 performances at SUMMERFEST, countless club dates and weddings, church festivals, and charity events with Mark Pannier and The BB’s and others including an original act and an Elvis Tribute Artist. During the week, he’d perform OPEN JAMS, some running 5 or more years at one place! The list of musical luminaries who Rink L Finish has played with over the years is just too great to list. Many have past, many have moved on. Rink developed a solo act while playing 2 plus years at a national sandwich chain. He still sits in when he can and works with the many talented musicians in duos, trios, and groups as well as solo to entertain audiences everywhere. Now working with as a studio and performing musician playing bass, guitar, mandolin, harmonicas and vocalist. Also working as an agent for several artists and providing DJ services, sound support and lights for small/medium sized events. Always on the hunt for the next great music business and playing opportunity.
