A journey that has just begun. So to tell you a little about myself...My name is Mark Landry
I was born In Lake Charles, La.in 1981. My youth was spent watching my family struggle to provide all they could for me and my younger brother. Many mornings spent coffee making, lunch packing and off to school and work hustling and bustling for everyone, while the nights were spent waiting for everyone t
o get home so we could visit for 10 minutes before bed. In order for smooth operations at the Landry house my grandparents and aunts chipped in and shared the responsibilities with my mom of raising us two young boys. Very grateful for all their sacrifices, I vowed to myself to be independent and not let someone else to dictate my way of life. Falling into the same rut and dependency that most of Middle America suffers from I went out and did what every other 16 year old person that I know did. I got a Job. It was not a good job at all but it gave me extra money to buy the clothes I wanted to wear in lieu of the ones my mom could afford. Mom even let me buy the shoes I had asked about all summer. We worked hard for what we had, way too hard. My family is full of ex-entrepreneurs, they are all great artist in different facets from cakes to carpentry. I finally realized something after my mom closed her bakery. It doesn’t matter how good of a product you have if no one knows about it or buys it. I graduated High school in 1998 with honors and dreams. Becoming a great graphic artist and photographer was at the top of my list. My college stint did not last long. 17 year old boys with my mentality at that time are not cut out to be responsible for their own education. I dropped out and again did what I knew how to do…went back to construction and designing logos “on the side”. I have been marketing, promoting, and branding in some shape or form for 15 years. Graphics and business were my passions but I did not know how to make it my career. Working from home or for myself was not at all how I had been raised. A steady check and hourly wage had bread a since of stagnation, and I am not one for standing still. Although my passions were evident I have always put what I was meant to do on the back burner. I didn’t want to make something I loved into a job. I am now over that fear. I have traveled extensively following the work like a pastoral gypsy. I was happy with being mediocre to provide for my family and having a “safe job”. Touring most of the united states in hopes of finding the" American dream" I have done everything from being a Marine to working on freight cars for Burlington Northern Sante Fe. In 2012 an uncontrollable series of events left me wondering what I was going to do with my life (again). I have realized through countless headbangings against the wall that this is what I was born for. I love helping people overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of their success. Making good business better and helping people establish strong foundations through graphic design and branding. I am not only an artist but a problem solver. I find that people don’t just want logos they want someone who knows how to help them promote their business. They want someone who cares if they succeed or fail. They want someone to be a partner in their journey. I believe life experience has helped me to connect with my clients. I connect with the people that they interact with day to day. I help people create the life style they desire...
