🚩 Wedding DJ red flags every couple should know before booking…

A wedding DJ should do much more than press play and work through the same playlist they use every weekend.

They should be able to:

🎧 Mix the music live
🔥 Read the dance floor in real time
🎤 Control the room without making the wedding about themselves
🎶 Take requests while protecting the overall energy
💡 Use professional equipment that complements the room and your photos
🛡️ Carry proper liability insurance

Your DJ should understand your musical preferences and must-play songs—but they should also have the experience and creative freedom to adjust when the crowd responds differently than expected.

There’s something pretty cool about picking up an old-school corded telephone and leaving a message for the newlyweds.

This was a fun wedding to be a part of at one of our favorite venues, The Tampa Museum of Art!

Nothing fancy. No cinematic editing. Just RAW footage from a real wedding at the Tampa Museum of Art. 🎧🔥

This couple wanted a little bit of everything and didn’t go overboard with must-play music—which gave us the freedom to live mix, read the crowd, and take the dance floor wherever it needed to go.
