Personally, I went from 2 Glowforges to an Aeon Mira 9 and then added another Mira 9 when I needed to ramp up production.

*Cleaning: So many parts on the Mira lasers are enclosed where they aren't on the Glowforge. I have to clean less often and it's less intense to clean.
* No wi-fi connection needed: I live in the country where the internet isn't great. This was a major issue with the Glowforge. The Mira can be connected via USB cable straight to the computer which makes for nearly instant file uploads.
* Repeating Jobs: The Mira keeps the last job on the screen so when I need to repeat a job, all I have to do is change out the material and press start. No need to re-upload!
* Support: The support from the Aeon company has been fantastic. I have had a few minor issues I needed help with (mostly user error) and they have been very helpful. They have overnighted me a part when I needed to get back up and running quickly. I don't think any of my support tickets have taken more than 2 hours to get a response.
* Expanded Possibilities: The bed of the Mira goes up and down and has rotary capabilities. This means, I can work with thicker materials than before and engrave things such as water bottles and tumblers.
* Size: The bed of my laser is about 36" x 24". While I mostly make smaller items, I can now make more of them at a time which means I am changing out materials less often and once again able to get more done in a given amount of time.
