The November 3 Bond: Preserving What Works-- WHS Auditorium 🎭
The largest auditorium in a five-county area has served students, performers, and our entire community for decades. If the bond is approved by voters, it gets the renovation it needs. The images are conceptual, but they reflect the overall goal of the project: a safer, more functional campus that better supports students, staff, and the broader Wenatchee community.
Here's what the proposal includes:
🎭 New audience seating and improved ADA access (Two center aisles!)
🔊 Acoustic enhancements and soundboard improvements
💡 Modernized theatrical and house lighting
🎬 Upgraded control booth
🚪 New dedicated auditorium entrance
🎼 Enhanced orchestra pit
🧵 New house curtain and maintained existing ¾ fly
🔧 Improved safety at catwalks and new interior finishes
Plus supporting spaces not shown in the rendering:
➕Green room addition
➕Dressing rooms
➕Dedicated performer restrooms
➕Public restroom improvements
➕Scene shop addition
➕Parking and ADA access improvements
This is a space our entire community uses for school performances, community events, graduations, and more. 💰The bond preserves and renovates 100,000 square feet of existing space like this one, saving taxpayers an estimated $20 million compared to building everything new.
Wenatchee voters will consider the $275 million bond on November 3, 2026.
