Pumpkin Boats! These are so fun and simple! If it's fall but 90+ degrees where you are (like here in KC) water play is still a must! Cut some mini pumpkins in half and take the seeds out. Fill up your water play area and the kids can fill up the boats with small pieces. We used acorns, and mums but anyyou have works! Have fun🎃

Fall is fast approaching and the leaves are starting to change leaves 🍁 here is a fabulous and fun BOOK with a craft. Leaf Man is a fun fall book and we love to pair it with a leaf hunt while on a nature walk. Then pile up the leaves and see what leaf people you can make with all the different shapes and sizes! Only materials you need are paper and glue! Don’t want a glue mess?! Then build a leaf man and wipe him away to make another!!

Inspired by donut art this week here is a little invitation to create inspo! I absolutely love the beautiful bright colors of this paint palette it’s definitely well-loved. Oil pastels (add a Qtip and oil for fun blending) dot stickers- for sprinkles and we love sturdy watercolor paper! Easy peasy to set up and let the kids enjoy!

Hello!!
So many new faces here I thought I'd introduce myself. I am a mama to my son, Easton who has been doing art and sensory activities with me for many years. After years of working in childcare facilities, I decided to start my in-home preschool. I saw a need for children to have the opportunity to be outdoors, explore, get messy, and have more time for play. I am passionate about process art and children being outdoors so I thought I'd start sharing how easy it can be to do both! I host seasonal art groups at my home and also teach art at my son’s homeschool enrichment center. Thanks for being here✨

Tis the season for back to school and you may be wondering how to inspire your kiddos to play and create with endless possibilities!! Get yourself a ✨TINKER TRAY✨ fill a tray or bowls with miscellaneous items I like to call loose parts! Add this to your blocks, magnetic blocks, dollhouse, car tracks anywhere! 🌈check out those colorful seashells we reused from making our sand jars!!

Have some shells from your summer beach vacation?? Or maybe you’re dreaming about being at the beach?? Most dollar stores sell shells to use for this beachy fun activity. These are sand jars with colorful seashells!
We love to paint the sea shells.
With this we also make our own sand 🤩 just mix salt with your favorite food coloring or liquid watercolor let dry and you have colorful sand!! Glitter is always a great addition.

How do you like to splatter your paint??

Have you ever used a flyswatter or maybe a plunger?

We love having a large virtual surface such as a plastic or cloth shower curtain or sheet. You can even tape paper up on a tree or fence. Then fill trays with paint dip the flyswatter in and splat away!!

Plungers are always a silly and fun paint tool to use. We enjoy splatting chalk paint on the driveway with them!

It's going to be a hot one in Kansas today ☀️ a great day to set up a water play station. If you don't have a water table, fill up a bucket, tote, or tray with water (we like to add fun colors) a water dispenser, and soap, and have the kids pick some flowers! Add bowls, spoons, and anything you have handy works great! This is also a great way to fill those reusable water balloons! 💦 Have fun!!
