For decades, Doc dedicated his heart, time, and talents to the Tioga County Agricultural Association and the Tioga County Fair. His love for agriculture and the fair community began as a young boy showing livestock at the Chemung County Fair and continued throughout his lifetime. He began checking health charts at the Tioga County Fair in the early 1980s, was elected to the Board of Directors in 1989, and faithfully served as a director or executive committee member ever since.

As the fair's veterinarian, Commercial Chair, Vice President, premium book designer, Entertainment Committee member, and a tireless advocate for agriculture, Doc wore countless hats. He also represented our fair at the state level through the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs. No matter the role, his dedication never wavered. He was always looking for ways to make the fair better, encouraging exhibitors and vendors to join us, and ensuring that our agricultural traditions would continue to thrive.

More than anything, Doc loved the agricultural community. He believed in the importance of county fairs, the people they brought together, and the memories they created. Nothing would have made him happier than seeing the fairgrounds filled with families, friends, exhibitors, laughter, smiling faces, and the next generation experiencing all that agriculture has to offer.

While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we know the best way to honor Doc is to carry on the passion he shared with all of us.

This year, in the spirit of Doc, let's pack the fairgrounds. Come celebrate agriculture, support our exhibitors and vendors, make new memories, and share the many stories of the man who gave so much to our fair.

Thank you, Doc, for your unwavering dedication, your friendship, and the lasting legacy you leave behind. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
