Steps of Expression Program Steps of Expression is ran through Parks and Recreation of Wellsboro, PA. Come join us!

We teach a wide variety of dance: Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Tumbling and Twirl. What makes us unique in the community is that we hold all of our classes on Monday evenings. This is convienent for our parents and students that are involved in other after school activities, yet still want to be involved in the art of dance.

Felicity Pierce 🎉

Felicity was nominated by Miss Ang
Felicity's back was very tight from tumbling class and required some ice
it wasn’t long after I took the ice from her that she got up and was trying. I started the demo routine and she was walking along trying to learn.

Felicity is 13 years old
She is the daughter of Deb and Scott Pierce and attends Rock L Butler Middle School

Felicity enjoys Tumble, modern and jazz and is a member of the competition team.

The song that gets her dancing is - water at your wedding by Greylan James.

Felicity Loves to snack on pretzels and peanut butter during and after dance.

A superpower to help her dance would be flying.

If she could take her dance teacher on a trip with her, it would be a cruise to the Bahamas!

Evelyn is VERY eager to learn new skills and practices at home to perfect those skills. She is very respectful and listens well in class and is always willing to be the first to try something new!

Homeschooled.
Evelyn enjoys Tumbling and Ballet and is on the competition team.

Autumn Evanchick is the daughter of Lena & Rob Evanchick she is 11 years old and attends Trinity Lutheran School.
Autumn takes lessons in Hip Hop & ballet and is on the competition team.

She always comes to class, prepared and ready to listen.She works very hard throughout the whole time, whether we're at the bar or on the floor or even in freeze dance she picks up new moves really well and keeps desiring to learn more.

Allison takes ballet, hip hop, tumbling and hip hop duet

Lennox was nominated by Miss Faith stating, Lennox did a really good job at her backward rolls and was excited to do them.

Lennox is the daughter of Maegan Beckman & Alex Amaral , she is 6 years old, and attends Charlotte Lappla elementary school.
Lennox takes ballet, jazz , tumble and tap.
A song that makes Lennox get up and dance is Jingle Bells .
If Lennox had a super power to help her dance it would be ultra hearing so she could hear music a mile away.
Lennox enjoys snacking on Sour cream and onion chips during and after dance class.
When asked if she could take her teacher on a trip with her where would it be Lennox replied To Hershey park!

Lyndon is the daughter of Clyde and Adriane Pierce she does not attend school yet and takes combo class at Steps of Expressions.

A song that makes her get up and dance is Like God Intended by Jordan Davis.
We asked Lyndon if she had a super power to help her dance what would it be? Lynden replied "Super Speed".
Lyndon likes to snack on
Cheetos after combo class.
Lyndons last question was if she could take her teacher on a trip with her where would you go? Lynden would take Miss Jenny to Cayuga Lake.

Alexa was nominated by Miss Judi.
Miss Judy stated...
I have Alexa in my modern team class.
Even though she has choose not to be on the Steps team she works just as hard as the team members.
She is the quietest student in the class and takes instruction well.
I can tell she's processing every word and trues her hardest putting everything she can into her dance.
The difference between week one and this week was very nice to see in Alexa. I could tell she has practiced and wants to learn more. I'd take her on my team any day.

Alexa Guillaume is the middle daughter of

Liberty Elementary School.
Alexa takes lessons in modern, tap, ballet and twirling.
We asked Alexa what song makes her wanna get up and dance and she said " Whatever Lola Wants from "Darn" Yankees"
If Alexa had a super power to help her dance it would be a superpower of not getting nervous on stage.
Alexa has a favorite snack of extra cheddar goldfish she likes to snack on during or after dance class.
We asked Alexa if she could take Miss Judi on a trip with her where would you go?
Alexa said, " I would take Judi to see the Rockettes because I have always wanted to see them!"

Anna Guillaume was nominated by Miss Rhonda stating...She is a hard worker and I know she practices because she always comes back doing the steps better than the last time I saw her.
Plus she is nice and always has a smile on her face.

Anna Takes class in modern, tap, ballet and tumble.
When asked what song makes her wanna get up and dance Anna replied " Beautiful Things by Benson Boone".
If Anna had a Super power to help her dance it would be to achieve aerials without effort.
Anna likes to snack on trail mix during and after class.
We asked Anna if she could take Miss Rhonda on a trip with you where would you go? Anna replied "I would take Rhonda to Italy and France to learn about ballet history".

Ella Steinbacher was nominated by Miss Jeanette stating.

I would nominate Ella this week! I’ve been so impressed with her work ethic in class, I can see her pushing herself. For example, asking if she can try for doubles and encouraging her classmates to as well. She takes every opportunity to improve and I love seeing that in class. She’s also been very encouraging to her classmates and gotten to a point where she is comfortable giving feedback/helping others if there is a move that they are struggling with. I know she’s listening when feedback is given and taking it all in. Just really proud of the dancer she is in class!

Ella Steinbacher is the daughter of
Heather and Patrick Steinbacher.
She is 16 years old and attends
Wellsboro area high school.
Ella participates in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Pointe, Tap classes.
When asked what song makes her get up and dance she replied
"Double Life from despicable me"
Ella enjoys apples and peanut butter as a power snack during or after classes.
When asked what super power she would want to help her dance she replied simply
"Perfect balance".
Finally we asked Ella if she could take Jeanette along with her in a trip where would it be? She replied
"I would take Jeanette to a Katseye concert"

Steps of Expressions student of the week Kyra Boggs

Kyra was nominated my Miss Madi stating- Kyra did a wonderful job in my Happy Feet class! During warm-ups, I challenged the girls to see if they remembered some of the things we worked on last week, and Kyra remembered so many of the steps and was even able to demonstrate them. She had a smile on her face throughout the entire class, and you could really tell that she was focused, trying her best, and excited to learn.

Kyra Boggs is the daughter of Kristin and Jordon Boggs.
Kyra is 6 years old and is a student at Charlotte Lappla Elementary school in Wellsboro.
Kyras dance genra of choice is tap and likes to eat fresh fruit during or after dance.
Kyra says the song Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus make sher wanna get up and dance.
When we asked Kyra if she had a super power for dance what would it be? She answered : to dance upside down.
We askes Kyra if she could take her dance teacher along with her on a trip where would it be? and she answered :
A Bike ride on the Pine Creek Rail Trail.... I think that sounds like a nice day out Kyra..
