We have not one but TWO shows in production right now. Cody Losinger directs SHE KILLS MONSTERS by Qui Nguyen which performs the first two weekends in August, coinciding with Wellsboro Comic-Con.

Cody says, "The show explores the relationship between two sisters in the 90's, and how Agnes (the older sister) is mourning the loss of her family. Agnes goes on this journey of learning who her sister Tilly is, but she does so while playing the Dungeons and Dragons campaign that Tilly created. All of the characters that are seen in the show are tied to the "real" world. What one may play in the Dungeons and Dragons game may not be who they really are on the outside. But that is the true beauty of role playing games and DnD, for what these characters create may just be who they truly are on the inside."

Cody arranged for the cast to play Dungeons & Dragons together with Jacob Hallead from Pop's Culture Shoppe as Dungeon Master.

The cast includes: Mariah Texter as Agnes; Brenden Louden as Miles; Maggie Jay as Farrah the Faerie; Marie Andrews & Jodi Tahsler as Narrator; KaDee Lay as Vera/The Beholder; West Guignard as Chuck; June Roth as Tilly; Christina Kolk as Kaliope/Kelly; Kyra Campbell as Lilith/Lilly; Lucas Snay as Orcus/Ronnie; Sarah Burke as Evil Habbi; Emily Snay as Evil Tina; Jameson DeLozier as Steve the Adventurer. The following people are learning stage combat and taking on the roles of the fearsome monsters, including Bugbears, Green Imps, The Gelatinous Cube, Tiamat, and three of Tiamat’s heads: Levy Umble, Jeff Ryan, Oliver Furman, Conor McEvoy, and Tom Gail.

Today we are grateful for Gratitude Day at Cowanesque Valley High School and the students who came to help us with projects, like prepping the HG house for painting, sorting props and costumes, and building planter boxes for the Deane Center. The group photo also includes folks who did community service for Diapers for Darlings.

We also want to thank our volunteers who worked with them; David O’Reilly, Gabe Hakvaag, and Marie Andrews. (Please let me know if I left someone out.) And a HUGE thanks to Karin Knaus, CV English teacher and member of the HG family who arranges this help for us.

Come see some amazing productions at the Stratford Festival in Ontario this October--like the HOBBIT. Their sets, props, costumes, and actors are some of the best.

On October 9-11 we will take Benedict's Bus Service, stay in Windsor Hotel, and you will see 3 shows (you can choose from 5 oprions).

FREE theatre arts camp for kids! Registration extended till June 15!

For youth who've completed grades 4-9 (and mature kids entering fourth grade).

This year's theme is AMERICAN ART combining our 250th birthday with a wild look at artists who helped make America great. All the songs, plays, and activities focus on our foremothers and forefathers who explored the creative process. These folks include musicians, painters, dancers, writers, and sculptors. Each camper will build confidence as they engage with a host of staff members conducting sessions in building a character, projecting the voice, singing, dancing, creating graphic arts, and having some serious fun.

The camp culminates with two public performances on Friday, June 26 at 3:00 and 6:00pm.

Registration forms are available at https://www.hamiltongibson.org/youth-camps or by calling 570-724-2079

Come with us to Stratford Festival and see SOMETHING ROTTEN! Back and funnier than ever, this "uproarious musical comedy" (Toronto Star) gleefully mocks Shakespeare and musical theatre itself.
