We regret to announce that we will not be moving forward with Humboldt Hideaway in 2027.
There's no single reason or simple explanation for our decision not to continue the event next year. But after two months of pre-planning work, it became clear that the financial risks were too great to overcome.
We'd like to thank everyone who helped make our 2026 event at Wells City Park the best one yet, starting with the City of Wells, City Manager Jason Pengelly, Mayor Gary Po***ck, the Wells City Council and the Wells Public Works Department.
Thanks also to this year's artists and their teams; all of our wonderful volunteers; and everyone who attended Humboldt Hideaway.
Special thanks to Chip Stone of the Elko Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Governors, who worked harder than anyone to help keep our event in Elko County next year.
As for our future plans, we do hope to launch a new event at some point down the road.
This much-needed break will give us the time we need to strategize, and to find a new venue that works best for our long-term financial viability.
If and when we are ready to announce a new event, you'll be the first to read about it here.

We're moving forward with plans for our 2027 event and are now accepting submissions from bands who would like to join us at Wells City Park next year!
We still need to formalize the new dates with the Wells City Council. But subject to city approval, we are planning to move Humboldt Hideaway from the weekend after Memorial Day to the Juneteenth holiday weekend of Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, 2027.
Due to rising fuel, lodging and inflationary costs that drove us seriously overbudget this year, we're scaling back our artist travel budget for 2027 and will prioritize artist submissions from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon and Arizona.
We'll be announcing our initial 2027 lineup in early November. If we're able to sell more early-bird tickets and bring more sponsors on board, we'll consider additional submissions later on this year, but as of right now, we have enough room for 16 to 17 bands.
Please email your EPKs to [email protected]. Please do NOT submit inquiries via Instagram/Facebook/Meta, as we will NOT consider or respond to any such submissions.
Thank you in advance for your interest in our crazy little event, and apologies if we don't respond to your submissions right away!
