Wellington Children's Theatre

Wellington Children's Theatre We are a children's theatre, where students, ages 3-19, may hone their dramatic and vocal skills, while building self-esteem and confidence.

Wellington Children's Theatre, located in the heart of Wellington, Florida, in Western Palm Beach County, provides classes, workshops and performing experience for children in grades k-12. We offer a very supportive atmosphere. Our performance based workshops culminate in a performance or a full-scale production. Our rehearsals begin with improv and theatre games, geared to teach the fundamentals

of acting, and a group voice lesson. Each summer, we offer Musical Theatre and arts camps, and continue to expand our program.

Our 2014 Fall Session Classes and Workshops begin on September 2nd!
Our "Acting Out! - Intro to Theatre" group will be auditioning for placement in "ANNIE-Kids" and the "Broadway Babies" will be singing in a few of the ensemble numbers.
We are so excited to be holding auditions for "How To Succeed". This is a fabulous and hysterically funny show, with some great dance numbers.

We are continuing to audition High School and College boys for "Spring Awakening" !

Ages 7 – 12 class will be from 9am - 1pm, Ages 13 – and up, class will be from 2pm - 6pm,
Howard will teach how to prepare the script so it is not memorized, but real; how to stay in character, and how to stay focused. This class will help each young actor learn what is expected from pre-read to the call back.
The actors will use prepared comedy sides from projects that Howard has already cast.
Howard Meltzer has been casting television in Los Angeles since 2002. He has been responsible for, and/or collaborated on, the TV series Lab Rats, Shake It Up, Hannah Montana, I’m In The Band and the TV Movie Den Brother for Disney Channel, and the TV pilots Big Time Rush, The Troop, The Fresh Beat Band and TV Movies Spectacular! and The Best Player for Nickelodeon.
Howard has been nominated for 16 Artios Awards for excellence in Casting, winning twice for the TV series Hannah Montana.!
