www.turcotte-gallery.com My work focuses on abstract, minimalist compositions of waves, rich in color, texture, and emotion. Before photography, I was a landscape painter using pastel chalks for their vibrant colors. Now, I use my camera as a paintbrush,

capturing light, motion, and atmosphere with minimal edits. I’m drawn to the pre-dawn and post-sunset hours when light reflects off the sky and water. Using slow shutter speeds, I create a painterly effect that defines my unique style. Living by the ocean, I find constant inspiration in shifting tides, sandbars, and the changing moods of Cape Cod.

This is one of my favorite places in the world and it’s a great thing when it turns out that I want to do a photo shoot at the exact same place where my friends are hanging out playing volleyball. Today's design reminder: one of the easiest ways to create a cohesive space is by paying attention to tone rather than theme.

A warm wood frame paired with warm wood floors, or artwork with cooler tones in a room that already leans cool, can instantly make a space feel more intentional.

Nothing has to match perfectly. Wood grains don't need to be identical, and neither do the colors throughout your room. Simply deciding whether your space feels predominantly warm or cool is a great place to start.

And don't be afraid to mix in the opposite tone here and there. A little contrast often adds the interest that makes a room feel complete.
