I just finished a 5 week tumble of mostly rocks. There are always my favorites when all is said and done. A couple of the rocks have some sort of deep red material, I’d love to know what it is.

Winter time is when I usually build up my quahog shell stock to tumble all Spring and Summer. That didn’t happen this year! Luckily I have a pile of shells already so I’m ahead of this Winters lack of gathering. Seagulls provide me with a lot of the shells, they drop the clams onto pavement and rocks to break them open and then I pick up what they leave behind. I hope all the wild creatures are getting enough to eat, the deep snow I’m sure has created some difficulties.
