Congratulations to Rockin’ P PRCA Rodeo (Rockin P Arena) on receiving our first year Trail Blazer Award! I loved being part of their inaugural rodeo in Tahlequah this year and seeing the community come together to support it.

Such a well-deserved recognition for the hard work that went into bringing a new PRCA rodeo to Oklahoma!

One of the sweetest hidden gems at the Tulsa State Fair is tucked inside the livestock barn!

You’ll find the Dairy Bar inside the Oklahoma Ford Dealers Barn, right next to the Southwest Dairy Milking Parlor. Stop by for a live milking demonstration, then grab an ice cream cone, malt, or milkshake!

It’s a chance to see where our dairy foods begin and learn about the care and work that go into producing them. Behind every glass of milk, slice of cheese, and scoop of ice cream are dairy farmers caring for their cattle every single day, including right here in Oklahoma.

Agriculture is part of our everyday lives, even in the sweet treats we enjoy at the fair. We always made a stop at the Dairy Bar when we were at Tulsa showing livestock, so of course I had to grab a chocolate shake on this trip, too!

Bucking bulls right on Route 66!

Come out tomorrow for the third annual Route 66 Bull Bash in downtown Miami, Oklahoma! Main Street turns into a bull riding arena right in front of the historic Coleman Theatre. It’s such a unique experience, and I’m excited to be back again this year!

With America celebrating 250 years and Route 66 celebrating 100, it’s a special year for an unforgettable evening on the Mother Road!

Saturday, October 10
1st & North Main, Miami, Oklahoma
Gates open at 5:30 PM
Bull riding starts at 7:00 PM

Party Zone: $15 (standing area or bring a chair)
Bleacher seating: $25 (first come, first served)
Kids 5 and under get in free!

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I can’t help but think about the generations of agricultural families who have helped build this country, and the young people carrying that legacy forward.

Behind every livestock project in that ring are months of early mornings, feed buckets, practice, and daily care. These young exhibitors are learning responsibility, perseverance, and what it means to put something that depends on them before themselves. Those lessons stay with them long after their final trip around the show ring.

Agriculture feeds our country, supports our communities, and gives so many of us our roots. These exhibitors are already part of keeping it going, and seeing their dedication gives me so much hope for its future.

Having shown livestock at the Tulsa State Fair myself, it was especially meaningful to return this year and have the honor of carrying our American flag at the Night of Champions, Tulsa State Fair’s Grand Drive.

Thank you, Tulsa State Fair Livestock Exhibitors, for inviting me back for such a special evening. It was an honor to carry our flag while celebrating these exhibitors, their hard work, and the families who help make it all possible.
