A NOTE FROM MY HEART TO OUR FRIENDS OF STELLAR STAGE
As many of you know, the past year has brought tremendous changes to Stellar Stage Multimedia Productions. Jim and I have experienced exciting victories, unexpected challenges, closed doors, and remarkable new opportunities. Through it all, I have spent a great deal of time reflecting on what theater, music, and the arts truly are all about.
Those reflections inspired me to write a song titled, "Spotlight Prayer," which really could be our theme song. The link to the song/video is below.
The success of performance art was never meant to be measured solely by ticket sales, attendance figures, profit margins, or the prestige of a venue. While those things have their place, they are not the reason we create.
True art is the pursuit of excellence. It is the courage to imagine something that does not yet exist and bring it to life. It is the spark that transforms an ordinary room into a place of wonder. It is the connection between performer and audience when, for a few precious moments, everyone is sharing the same experience, breathing the same air, laughing, crying, remembering, dreaming, and feeling something bigger than themselves.
Theater is sacred because it reminds us of our humanity.
Music is sacred because it speaks the language of the heart.
Storytelling is sacred because it allows us to see ourselves in one another.
At Stellar Stage, our mission has never been about simply filling seats. It has always been about bringing people together. It has been about creating moments that lift spirits, inspire hope, spark imagination, and remind us that beauty still exists in the world.
Some of the most meaningful moments I have witnessed over the past 18 months never appeared on a financial statement. They happened when strangers became friends, when someone forgot their troubles for a little while, when an audience rose to its feet in gratitude, or when a performer realized they had touched a life.
Those moments are the reason Jim and I do this.
As we begin this exciting new chapter, I find myself filled with gratitude. Gratitude for every volunteer who gave their time. Every performer who shared their gifts. Every audience member who took a chance on a show. Every supporter who believed in our mission.
Most of all, I am grateful for the community that has grown around Stellar Stage.
The venue may change. The stage may change. The scenery may change. But the mission remains the same.
Jim and I promise you this:
We will continue to strive for excellence.
We will continue to create.
We will continue to bring people together.
And we will continue to honor the spotlight—not as a symbol of fame or success, but as a prayer that shines upon every artist brave enough to step into it.
Thank you for believing in the power of the arts. Thank you for being part of this journey. The best chapters are still ahead.
With love and gratitude,
Luanne "Annie" Hunt
