Project Oak Dance Training

Project Oak Dance Training IN EVERY ACORN LIES A BLUEPRINT FOR AN OAK TREE. Project Oak is private & personal performing arts training empowering the artist to achieve their highest self.

Be BOLD. Be BRAVE. EXPAND. EMPOWER. INSPIRE. I am Elizabeth Earley and Project Oak is my forum for empowering performing artists through dance instruction to realize their unimagined potential by expanding their limitations and daring to be more than ever before. Performing artists are called to raise spiritual vibrations and deliver seismic messages to humanity. I exist to empower fellow artists,

foster the abilities within them to tell stories through dance, and to inspire artists to inspire others. I believe through being bold, brave, and daring greatly, artists expand their capabilities and empower themselves to achieve so they can inspire others. My love of telling stories through dance was born at a very young age, but my dream of enabling fellow artists to dance has grown very strong in the last few years. Though I focus on musical theater and spend much of my time singing and acting, my knack for making ballet technique accessible drives much of my teaching as I see it as the most important base for movement. I then translate this to theatre dance, jazz dance, and tap dance giving the artist the opportunity to experience dance as a powerful tool working for her/him, not against her/him. A specialty of mine is speaking "singer-language" to singers while clearly and concisely hacking into dance technique through physics and visual images. I am driven by establishing 100% healthy and efficient use of energy in the body and by creating purely-positive working environment in the student's mind and in the dance studio. I am, absolutely, a self-proclaimed nerd who gets high on seeing my students' confidence grow, their preconceived-assumptions (limits) about themselves in dance dissolve and by watching my students make sense of why they can now do things they never thought they could do. I champion my students to champion themselves. Some Professional Credits include:

I am giving some love to the awesome trio of triple threat ladies (of course it's a trio!) at www.pickwyck.com for their super cool website full of uniquely fascinating interviews of triple threat performers. It features tales and perspectives of people working and thriving in the theater community.

I had the pleasure of interviewing with founder Kylie Wyman at The Pickwick this year. The last question she asked:

Q. What is one piece of advice you would give to aspiring performers?

A. There are many definitions of success. There are many roads to success. Your path is unique. You are unique. Scarcity is a myth. You are important. You are worthy. If the fire is within, no rain will extinguish that. Be who you need to be, but do it to empower someone else. Nothing and no one can stop you if you don't.

*I will be teaching my second 6-week ballet workshop at Dance Molinari starting this Thursday, October 6, 5-6PM. I am still teaching privately while enjoying the last couple of months with the silly and vibrant cast of Something Rotten! at The St. James. Feel free to message me if you are interested in private instruction!

A new theatre blog featuring interviews & reviews.
