Viral en redes 🐠🐟🐠 Trasciende la captura de una especie perteneciente a profundidades que van desde los 500 hasta los 4 mil metros al norte del estado de BCS.

Tras la publicación en redes sociales de un Pez Diablo en color negro capturado en puerto Lobos, desató un par de publicaciones en las cuales presumían el mismo ejemplar en distintos tonos capturados en zonas como Bahía Asunción y playa “El Mu3rtito”.

Información adicional sobre esta especie:

El diablo negro o r**e abisal (Melanocetus johnsonii) es una especie de pez abisal que pertenece a la familia biológica de los melanocétidos (Melanocetidae), se encuentra en todos los océanos del mundo. Vive en profundidades normalmente de 500 - 4.000 metros.

Tiene una especie de antena (espina modificada de su aleta dorsal) sobre su cabeza que brota de su rostro en forma de caña, repleta de bacterias que se encienden y que se ilumina como señuelo para atraer peces que confunden este órgano con gusanos u otro organismo, siendo capturados con sus grandes dientes para evitar que la presa se escape. Tiene una gran boca que puede tr4gar ejemplares de más del doble de su propia longitud con gran velocidad.

It is extremely rare for a humpback anglerfish (Melanocetus johnsonii) to be seen in daylight. These deep-sea creatures are typically found at depths of 650 to 6,500 feet, where sunlight does not pe*****te. Their habitat is usually pitch black, which is why they have evolved their bioluminescent lure to attract prey.

The humpback anglerfish spotted near Tenerife in February 2025 did not survive long after its rare sighting. Marine biologists observed the fish near the coast of Playa San Juan on the west coast of Tenerife, only about two kilometers from shore. Unfortunately, the anglerfish appeared to be in poor condition and died just a few hours

after being spotted.
