Please welcome our SC Comicon Cosplay Contest Judges- Chris and Miracole Burns!!

Chris is an Actor, Director, Producer, and Specialty Costumer credited with over 100 Film and Television projects spanning two decades. As an Actor, Chris has appeared in projects like ‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Underground’, ‘The Oath’, among others. His Specialty Costuming resume includes: ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ’, ‘Doom Patrol’, ‘ Bad Boys 4’, ‘ Black Lightning’ and ' Red One’, just to name a few. He is Co-Creator of ‘Avengers Assemble the Series’, which features Guest Stars Stan Lee, Grant Imahara, and Noah Taylor.

Miracole Burns is a Costume Designer, Super Suit Supervisor, Specialty Costumer, Actor, and Cosplayer. Her cosplay has been featured in Marvel’s ‘Becoming’ series, ‘MTV Geek’ and the Emmy award winning documentary, ‘Four Days at Dragon*Con’. She portrayed Liza Radly in ‘Doom Patrol’, Queen Noir in ‘Powers’, and Ms. Marvel on ‘Avengers Assemble the Series’.

Her Film and TV Specialty costuming credits include ‘Red One’, ‘Doom Patrol’, ’X-Men First Class’, ‘Venom’, ‘Taken 3’, 'Bad Boys 4', ‘Sleepy Hollow’, ’The Gifted’, ‘Black Lightning’ and many more.

A writer once stated this... “What if God should place in your hand a diamond, and tell you to inscribe on it a sentence which should be read at the last day, and shown there as an index of your own thoughts and feelings? What care, what caution, would you exercise in the selection! Now this is what God has done. He has placed before you the immortal minds of your children, more imperishable than the diamond, on which you are about to inscribe every day and every hour, by your instruction, by your spirit, or by your example, something that will remain and be exhibited for or against you at the judgment-day.”
Yes, it is true that children should obey their parents and elders, but it is also true that we rule with love, guidance, examples, praise along with the discipline.
I remember my son getting mad at me and using Colossians 3:21 KJV "Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged". He failed to understand that this "provoke" or irritation wasn't in the disciplining or rules we required but in the ruling to the level that he could never please us. We rewarded, set examples, pointed out his strengths, warned of pending dangers and let him fall at times with limits on his loses. Now though reading what that author wrote makes me wonder on judgment day when God examines our son's life and decisions as a man, what will our judgment be? In many ways I've seen our lessons be recalled in his adult years as a blessing, but are they all blessings? The answer is no. but we are growing learning and improving today with our grandchildren and our children.
