Today is the Day. Every Friday this summer Burnett Area Arts will have a booth at Northwest Passages Farmers Market on 35 and Bass Lake Road. Sign up to win an abundant basket full of art worth close to $400 from the Burnett Area Arts group. It could be the answer to gift giving this year! (Photo to be added soon.) Hog Wild Food Truck will be onsite.

And finally, two Grantsburg recipients of the $1000 scholarship that Burnett Area Arts was pleased to award this year. They are Aliya Henderson, who will be studying art education at Minnesota State, Fergus Falls, and Kaiden Xurvein who will study musical theater at Manhattan College. Thank you for the supportive contributions from our community for helping reach this year’s goal.

One of 4 Burnett Area Arts Senior Scholarship awards of $1000, was given to Emily Hill, Senior from Frederic High School. She will be attending Seattle Central College, studying fashion and design.

Burnett Area Arts Group is proud to have been able to present $1000 Scholarships to 4 area High School Seniors. We would like to thank the communities of Polk and Burnett Counties for supporting Burnett Area Arts. It takes a village, as they say, to raise a village, and the donations made to our group made it possible. We would like to thank Debbie Norling, member for spearheading this. Today’s photo is of BAA President, Joe Hendershot presenting Webster HS recipient, Elizabeth Treague, who will be furthering her education at UW- River Falls with an emphasis on Photography and Business.
