🎭 GET A SNEAK PEEK AT THE ROOMMATE!

Curious about WCCT’s upcoming production of The Roommate by Jen Silverman—or thinking about auditioning? Join us for a Readers Theatre preview on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. at Webster City Community Theatre, 1001 Willson Ave.

Whether you enjoy performing on stage, working behind the scenes or simply reading a fun script, we’d love to have you join us! Bring a snack to share and your own beverage, settle in and enjoy an afternoon of theatre.

Director Anne Blankenship will lead the reading of this funny, surprising and unconventional story of friendship and self-discovery.

The Roommate centers on Sharon, a recently divorced woman living a quiet life in Iowa who decides to take in a roommate. Enter Robyn, a mysterious woman from the Bronx with a very different past—and a few secrets. As the two women get to know one another, Robyn’s adventurous spirit begins to awaken something in Sharon, leading both women in directions neither expected.

The preview reading is a great opportunity to hear the play, meet the director and learn more about the upcoming production.

We’ll take a look back at the past year, share what’s ahead for our 59th Season, celebrate our fantastic volunteers and present a few special awards of appreciation.

🍽️ It’s a potluck! Bring a main dish, side dish or dessert to share, along with your own beverage. Tableware will be provided.

❤️ Everyone is welcome! Whether you’ve been on stage, behind the scenes, in the audience or are simply interested in becoming part of WCCT, we’d love to have you join us.

Annual WCCT memberships are just $10, and dues may be paid at the meeting.
