CTIA Friends - We are excited to share two Virtual Class offerings (one for ages 7-11, another for ages 6-10) courtesy of American Mural Project, an organization committed to inclusion in the arts and more. If you aren't familiar with AMPs mission and amazing collaborative mural project, also check it out!

Hands-on, live art programs for kids each week, taught by one of AMP's professional teaching artists, with a new theme each month! Open to participants across the country (custom art kits can be shipped). Check out all of the creative options to explore art at work:

Day 2! Learning new American Sign Language to Can’t Stop the Feeling by was a class hi-light that was even more fun when adding the dance moves! Our one word/sign exercise and yoga ending brings the best calm and peace-filled finish 🙏🏽 We love this group!

In this inclusive week-long afternoon summer class, students will explore the joy of movement and dance in a supportive environment emphasizing human connection and communication while students learn to theatrically interpret music using American Sign Language. Classes will combine technique, improvisation and movement to enhance creativity, increase strength and range of motion, and to build confidence. ⁣

Summer 2021 Class Offering!

CONNECTED MOVEMENT WITH ASL

STILL ENROLLING!! In this inclusive week-long afternoon summer class, students will explore the joy of movement and dance in a supportive environment emphasizing human connection and communication while students learn to theatrically interpret music using American Sign Language. Classes will combine technique, improvisation and movement to enhance creativity, increase strength and range of motion, and to build confidence.

August 9 - August 13 (Monday - Friday) from 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Student Share for parents/friends on Friday, Aug 13 at 2:45pm

Tuition: $150/student (CTIA will be covering $80/student of program cost)

Ages: 10+. Vaccinated individuals will not be asked to wear masks.

Lead Teachers: Jillian Foley, Julie Sharp, Robert Reader

The Hartford Dance Collective, 30 Arbor St. Hartford, CT (next to Real Art Ways!)

Class Location: Hartford Dance Collective Studio

Bring a water bottle & allergy free snack (no peanuts or tree nuts)

Minimum of 8 enrolled - maximum of 14
