To our beloved We Rock Community,
I still remember the first time I set foot in a We Rock the Spectrum gym. It was the summer of 2022. Our twins were four, and I simply Googled “indoor play gym for children.” When We Rock the Spectrum – OKC came up, we KNEW that’s where we were headed.
I remember walking through the doors of that location, seeing a beautiful play space for children of ALL abilities, and reading the motto on the wall:
“Finally, a place where you never have to say I’m sorry.”
I noticed it was a franchise, left the gym, and immediately looked up We Rock the Spectrum online—eager to learn more. I knew right then and there this was something our area needed. Their mission of inclusion for ALL children deeply resonated with us, and I wanted my family to be a part of it.
Opening our doors in April 2023 was a dream come true. Over the past two years, owning our very own We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym has been an incredible journey. You—our community—have supported us from Day One.
We’ve celebrated birthdays and countless milestones together. We’ve watched your children grow up in this gym. We’ve listened to your stories and experiences on the autism journey, and we’ve shared ours with you.
When we announced that we were looking for new owners, we were prepared to wait as long as it took to find the perfect family to take over our beloved gym. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have not been able to find new ownership. And due to unforeseen circumstances, we will now have to permanently close our doors.
Our last day of business will be Friday, June 13th, so please stop by the gym for our final Open Play sessions and to say our farewells before we have to close our doors.
We want to say thank you to every one of you who has made this incredible journey so special and memorable. We love you all—and we will miss you dearly.
