We survived yet another Texas snowpocalypse! We are beyond grateful for the helping hands that made the long, cold hours a little easier. Payton, our barn help, showed up every morning with a smile and kept that same energy through late-night barn checks. Our farrier,Jake Carmody, ended up stuck here due to road conditions and didnโt hesitate to jump in cleaning stalls and helping anywhere he could. And of course, Jose Kikis Mejia stall cleaning crew showed up as soon as the roads opened, even in less than ideal conditions. I also cannot forget Byron and Mary Walker who kept hot meals on our plate!
Thanks to everyoneโs teamwork, the horses handled the weather great and are already starting to get back into their normal routine. Feeling thankful for good people, good horses, and a barn full of grit.
