Interested in a cone 10 wood-firing? We have 2 firings planned for the next few months, one in June and one in September. These are open to the public, not just members. This is a fast-fire wood kiln. It fires in about 8 hours. We usually load on Saturday and fire on Sunday. We ask folks to help with the firing for 2 hours on Sunday. This type of wood firing gets subtle results; glazing is generally encouraged. If you've never fired a wood kiln before but are interested in knowing more, sign up or get in touch with questions. See the website for more information, listed on the firing sign-up dates: https://www.makewaynesboro.com/classes.html

❄️❄️Hey there folks who are in classes this week.🌨️🌨️ Here's info regarding the snow and cancellations as of now, Fri 1/23. It seems like we're okay for classes tomorrow. The snow doesn't seem likely to happen till later in the day. For anything we have to cancel, especially likely Monday, we'll add a class on to the following week at the end of the session. That last class is generally the class when people are glazing, and we will do our best to work with folks if you have schedule conflicts. We have had to cancel classes for weather before and can generally make it work out. No worries. Watch your email and Facebook and we will give you more information as the weather comes.
