I need your help to teach my goal for Make A Wish Foundation! Will you join in with me??
The Beautiful Story Behind this Princess and the Frog Mum:
When I volunteered to create a special homecoming mum for a Make-A-Wish child, I was given the opportunity to choose from three incredible children. As I read each of their stories, Jenny’s immediately spoke to my heart.
Jenny is a sweet 9-year-old with a respiratory condition whose greatest wish was to meet Princess Tiana. She chose Tiana because they share a love of cooking, and that connection inspired the entire design. As someone who has always loved The Princess and the Frog, I felt an instant connection to Jenny’s story and knew I wanted to create something that celebrated her joy, imagination, and dreams.
Jenny also shared that she loves the colors green, pink, and yellow, along with anything that sparkles. Those favorites became the inspiration for every ribbon, bow, flower, and glittering detail throughout this mum.
One of my favorite features is the “Recipe for Making Dreams Come True” keepsake card. Since Jenny loves to cook, I wanted to create something she could treasure long after homecoming. Instead of a recipe for food, it’s a recipe filled with courage, kindness, hope, smiles, love, and one very special wish—a reminder that the most beautiful dreams begin in the heart.
Every flower, ribbon, and embellishment was chosen with Jenny in mind. My hope is that when she wears this mum, she feels celebrated, loved, and reminded that she is truly a princess in her own unique way.
It has been an incredible honor to use my creativity to help celebrate such a special young lady. My goal is to raise 4000$ and I know we can do this!!
