Hey Everyone!

I'm Dominik, the person behind getting the Waxahachie Skate Park Initiative started!

Growing up in Germany, I spent a lot of time as a young guy riding BMX in my local skatepark. I think back to those days fondly and have picked up the sport a few times since then. I love the sport, but even more so, I love the community and all the people I've met. The friends I've made hanging out at the local skatepark have been invaluable.

Living in Waxahachie for over 5 years now, there's one thing I've dearly missed: the opportunity to continue this hobby. Sure, I make the 45-minute drive up to Arlington every so often, but Waxahachie and the surrounding area don't offer much in that regard.

After chatting with friends and people online, it seems many others share this sentiment. They'd love to see Waxahachie build a Skatepark. With that in mind, I've decided to put some effort into making it happen!

I've also spoken with some folks on the city staff, and it seems there's already an interest on their end in building a skatepark. If we show our support, there's a real chance of bringing this to life!
