Brought a few pieces of my metal art to camp this weekend so they're here & ready to go into the July 4th craft show! Everyone just loves the sickle bird, so i don't think that'll last long! It seems like the dogs are a big hit this year and unfortunately, the flowers have run their course, so if they don't sell, I'll put one in the Chinese auction on Sunday that same weekend! The pigs are always a big hit!

Just saw this bird (1st pic) on another page, which means I did NOT build it. But...I can, &I will! It'll be for sale, of course, and it won't be $10. Or $100. It'll be a bit more, by the looks of it!
A lot of people wonder how I price my hand-made, one of a kind, metal art pieces. The most common factor is the amount of time I put into the project, from the start of production to the finished project. (Sometimes it takes me hours to scrounge around looking for pieces & parts, and I do not add that time in.) Another thing is the electric & gasses I use to build the piece, while using my plasma cutter & welders. And even though my mantra is Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose, you might assume that I get all the metals I use for free, which is not the case. We go to auctions, flea markets & yard sales, just to name a few places, and purchase various materials that I can repurpose.
When I price an item, it's the price I need to account for building that piece along with a small, sometimes very small, profit. Trust me, this "hobby" of mine is not going to buy a 2nd home in the Caribbean!
Here's a few pieces I'll be putting in the craft fair at camp!

I built this a while back. It's a wall hanger. Weighs roughly 25 lbs. And measures 27" tall. No, I do not know how many nuts I used! Lol! Took me almost 10 hours to build.

The weather was a bit nicer this weekend so I spent most of each day in the garage and built these 4 things!
