Stray Haven is also trying to get up to speed with NYS regs and also needs non-permeable cat trees. They have a Kuranda tower link up on their site. If you are a Stray Haven supporter, please check our their appeal!
⏺️ We’re reaching out to ask for your help as we work to replace our traditional carpeted cat trees with Kuranda Cat Towers for our cats and kittens here at Stray Haven.
Why replace the cat trees? New York State’s Article 26-C law has introduced NEW requirements for animal shelters, including the following...
⏺️ "Indoor building surfaces in direct contact with animals shall be constructed of materials that are non-porous, water-resistant, non-toxic, and able to withstand regular cleaning and disinfection.”
Kuranda Cat Towers meet the new requirements; carpeted cat trees do not. They also give our shelter cats a comfortable place to rest, relax, and enjoy some personal space while they wait for homes of their own.
⏺️ If you can donate a Kuranda Cat Tower, we would greatly appreciate it. If you can’t donate, sharing this post is just as important. Please help us spread the word so we can ensure every one of our cats and kittens has a quality bed to call their own. Thank you!

⏺️ When you donate, the cat tower will ship directly to Stray Haven with free shipping, and you’ll receive tracking information so you know when it arrives.
Thank you for always showing up for our shelter pets. We couldn’t do this without you. Your kindness helps us continue to provide the best care possible while meeting the updated New York State requirements. ....
