🌟 Summer Intensive Guest Artist Spotlight: Celeste DuPuis 🌟

We are thrilled to welcome CWSB alumna Celeste DuPuis back to the studio this summer as one of our Summer Intensive guest instructors!

Celeste began her dance training at the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet, where she first discovered her love of storytelling through movement. She went on to earn her B.A. in Dance from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in 2020, developing the artistic and choreographic voice that continues to shape her work today.

Since graduating, Celeste has choreographed for professional theaters and schools throughout Wisconsin, creating work known for its humor, heart, and strong sense of narrative. She is passionate about collaborating with performers of all ages and believes in the power of dance and theater to build community and bring stories to life onstage.

Favorite choreography credits include The Wedding Singer, The Prom, and The Wizard of Oz (professional productions), as well as Grease, Urinetown, and The Music Man at the high school level. She is currently preparing for Disaster! The Musical with Bombshell Theatre Co.

Celeste is especially excited to return to Wausau and work with the next generation of dancers—many of whom she remembers as toddlers and is delighted to see now thriving as young artists.

⚾✨ Ballet meets baseball! ✨⚾

Spend a summer evening with Central Wisconsin School of Ballet at the Wausau Woodchucks game on June 25!

Before the first pitch, CWSB dancers will take the field to perform Zootopia, the high-energy finale from our Spring Showcase 2026. Then stay and enjoy a night of Woodchucks baseball with family and friends.

✨ Summer magic starts here! ✨

Join us at Central Wisconsin School of Ballet for a summer of dance, creativity, and imagination! From Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap classes to our beloved themed camps -- Unicorns, Mermaids & Butterflies, Princess Party, Moana, Fairy Ballerina, Nutcracker, and more -- there’s something for every young dancer.

Our 3-day camps (ages 3–7) include dancing, storytelling, crafts, treats, and a special performance for family & friends. Summer classes (ages 3–9) run for 5 weeks and are the perfect way to build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement.

A small but meaningful change at Stewart Park✨

Last year, a plaque was added to the theater to honor our founder, Madame Waltraud Karkar.

Now, the park sign reflects that legacy — with the addition of the Karkar Amphitheater.

Congratulations to the dancers of Central Wisconsin School of Ballet on a wonderful weekend of performances of Snow White! We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and joy each dancer brought to the stage.

Thank you to our families and volunteers for helping make our first-ever CWSB production of Snow White such a success.
