Time to meet our final characters - our heroes - Orpheus and Eurydice. In the original myth, Orpheus was the son of the muse of poetry and could make music so beautiful that it could charm all living things - even rocks and stones. Eurydice was a dryad (tree nymph). On the day of their wedding, Eurydice was bitten by a poisonous snake and died, descending into the underworld. Orpheus journeys on a quest to save Eurydice and... well, come to the show to find out how it ends.

In our version Orpheus not only journeys to save Eurydice, but also to save humanity, while Eurydice is a runaway beaten down by the world.

Final chance to see this beautiful story today at 2 PM. Tickets available at Gofan.co

Only one more chance to see our incredible cast in Hadestown: Teen Edition. Final show today at 2:00 PM.

Time to meet the rulers of Hadestown - Hades and Persephone. When the Olympians defeated the Titans and divided the world, Hades became ruler of the underworld. Persephone is the daughter of Demeter, the goddess of harvest. It is said that Hades saw Persephone walking in a field of flowers and took her to the underworld to be his wife. While there she ate 6 seeds of the pomegranate, forcing her to spend 6 months of every year down below and the rest she could spend with her mother, thus forming the seasons. In our version, Hades represents greed and industry, while Persephone represents nature and life.

Will they find their lost song of love? Find out today! Tickets at Gofan.co

Two shows left! Hadestown: Teen Edition at Wausau East - 7 PM tonight and 2 PM tomorrow.

Let’s introduce you to our workers' chorus. In Greek theater, the chorus played an important role, representing the viewpoints of particular groups of people and commenting on the action of the main characters. They often gave background information and served as a bridge between the audience and the world of the play. In our story, the chorus represents society, working to find a way out of poverty and oppression. Will they stand together and find their way to a better world? Find out this weekend! Tickets at Gofan.co

Opening night for Hadestown: Teen Edition was a success! We had such a great audience! Let’s sing it again today (Saturday, April 12) at 2 PM and 7 PM and then tomorrow at 2 PM.

The next mythological character we’d like to introduce is our master of ceremonies - Mr. Hermes. “A man with feathers on his feet,” Hermes was the messenger god - easily moving between the worlds of gods and humans. The protector of travelers, he carried a caduceus - a rod with intertwining snakes - as a symbol of peace and negotiation. Hermes “could help you to your final destination” as the one who guided souls to the underworld. He invented the lyre and, in some versions of the myth, taught Orpheus to play it. In our story, the cunning and playful nature of Hermes shines through as he guides our heroes and tells their tale.

“The song was written long ago…” Hear Hermes tell the tale this weekend! Tickets at Gofan.co

As our show is based on characters from mythology, let us give you some background. The Fates were said to be born from Nux (Night) and were seen as the most powerful beings in mythology - even Zeus had to bend to their will. They were often portrayed as three old women who shared one eye. One spun the thread of life, one measured it, and one cut it. Our fates are constantly whispering doubt and fear in the minds of our heroes.
“Whatcha gonna do when the chips are down?” Find out this weekend! Tickets at Gofan.co
