There are lots of great places to find live jazz in Milwaukee, but there's only one Cutler Park. Come and join us among the trees and the historic bandshell named for Waukesha native Les Paul, every Wednesday in July. We have a fantastic line-up this year, with the Brian Dale Group, Command Performance Big Band, the Ellen Winters Group, Opus, and Carmen Nickerson! See you on July 2. Check out the schedule at the City of Waukesha web site:

In less than two weeks, on Wednesday July 17, Jack Grassel and Jill Jensen bring their incredible talents to Jazz at Cutler Park. Anyone familiar with the Milwaukee music scene knows about Jack and Jill, and in fact they are well-known regionally and nationally. Jill's vocals will captivate you and Jack's multi-instrumental talents will blow your mind. Add to all that the fact that they will pay tribute to Les Paul and Mary Ford in the Les Paul Performance Center in Les's home town, and it will be a special evening.

The show starts at 7 pm and goes until 9 pm, and there will be food and drink available. See you at Cutler Park in downtown Waukesha!

Jazz at Cutler Park is back for a three-show summer 2024 season! On Wednesday, July 17, we have Jack Grassel and Jill Jensen doing their spectacular duo. One week later, on July 24, Marcya Daneille and her band will bring their soul-jazz set. Wrapping up on July 31, Carmen Nickerson and her combo will give us some classic standards and some of Carmen's own compositions from her recent WAMI-winning album, Room to Grow.

Cutler Park is a fantastic place to relax in a beautiful park setting and spend a wonderful summer evening with some great music.

We look forward to seeing you there!

We've now completed our "Return of Jazz at Cutler Park Miniseason." The performances were awesome, the audiences were great, the weather was flawless two-thirds of the scheduled dates and then flawless again on the make-up date, and everyone had a great time. So, big, heart-felt thanks to:

All the performers - James Sodke, Curt Hanrahan, Larry Tresp, Dave Ruetz, Steve Lewandowski, Mark Davis, Sam Belton, Jeff Hamann, Marcya Daneille, Sam Fettig, Sam Steffke, Jim Ryan, Hal Miller, Joe Turano, and Ellen Winters. What a collection of talent. And we're sorry we missed Rick Aaron and Jesse Montijo because of scheduling conflicts. It was a pleasure working with all of you and an honor to present you to the audiences.

Roz, Steve, and Joanna from Waukesha Park, Rec and Forestry.

My family crew - Debbie, Drew, and Charlotte.

MobCraft Brewing and Jax's Wheel Foods.

Chris White and White House of Music for their sponsorship.

And of course, all who attended to listen, cheer, dance, and just enjoy the vibe of great live music in a historic venue in a lovely downtown park - us jazz lovers may not be a huge community, but we love our music and support it!

See you all next year!

-- Brian
