The amount of illegal alcohol we witnessed today was astonishing. It was happening openly, in plain sight, and yet nothing effective was done to address it.

We take responsible alcohol service seriously because we care about the community we serve. We are strict for a reason. Responsibility and safety are not things we are willing to compromise.

We serve responsibly, and we always will.

Effective immediately, we have made the difficult decision to close until this situation has been properly addressed.

We appreciate the understanding and support of our community.

Founders' Note: In May 2026, at the beginning of this “wild weather” summer, we built out an experiential hospitality location on Lake Michigan in Waukegan, IL.

We want to thank the many people who visited and helped make this location one that delivers quality vibes, serves as an elevated respite, offers beverage catering, and provides a beautiful setting for events on Waukegan Municipal Beach.

We hope to see everyone this Friday, August 28 at 5pm!

We will be open for pop-ups, special events, and private events through October. If you're around, come hang out with the crew and STROBEHOUSE DJs + Friends, including Vijay Muziknotes, as we close out the season. It's going to be a great experience at Waukegan Municipal Beach.

This Saturday, we are excited about The Alignment Hour: After Yoga Waukegan Municipal Beach....9 am - 11 am. Enjoy the Sunshine over Lake Michigan. We will provide samples of Happy Coffee, a cold brew coffee founded by Robert Downey Jr. and Craig Dubinsky. Happy has a mission to support mental health, one cup at a time.
