✨ TEAM SPOTLIGHT: “Haus Of Monsters” ✨
This group may give me the most stress and probably the most grey hairs… but somehow it’s also one of the most rewarding routines to watch come to life. Getting 25 dancers of all ages to move, perform, and work together as one flawless team is no easy task, but this group has continuously reminded us why it’s all worth it.
One of the most special parts of “Haus Of Monsters” has been watching the relationships built within this team. Seeing the younger dancers admire the older ones, and watching our older dancers step up to encourage, guide, and help the littles, pulls at the heartstrings in the best way. It’s such a beautiful reminder that this journey is about so much more than just dance — it’s about building confidence, leadership, kindness, connection, and learning how to support one another.
This team has learned harder choreography, crazy new lifts, shoe changes, adding in just about every genre of dance into one routine, and working with little props. They faced some difficult weeks throughout the season, but every single time they chose to pull together and remind each other what the purpose of this routine truly was: to showcase love, to make the audience feel something, and most importantly, to be proud of themselves and one another.
“Haus Of Monsters” has received so much love and positive feedback this season because of how inclusive and inspiring it is. We have 25 dancers — all different ages, body types, experience levels, skin colors, and unique qualities — and that’s exactly what makes this routine so powerful. Every dancer brings something different and special to the stage, proving that individuality is something to be celebrated, not hidden.
As they wrap up their season this weekend and dance through their final 20 seconds to “Born This Way,” I hope everyone in the audience — and especially these dancers — are reminded that our differences are our strengths, and that we are all beautiful in our way… because we were, in fact, BORN THIS WAY. 🖤⚡️👩🎤
