"Early start on the Old Spanish Trail." 22" X 28". The last of my 3 trails paintings, for now. This one is set on the OST somewhere near Abiquiu. I really do admire those artists who can paint those striped cliffs and make them look beautiful and magestic, (Georgia O'Keefe included.) Any time I try it, they look like candy cane. Oh well, you can't have Abiquiu without the multi-colored cliffs.

"More Gringos coming in." 22 X 28. This is the second painting in my 3 trails series, (the first one being the "Jornada del Mu**to" painting, set on the Camino Real.) This one features the Santa Fe Trail. Inspired by my recent climb of Starvation Peak, at Bernal. I am still tweaking this one, an endless process that can be maddening! 😄
