We're presenting a special event as a fundraiser for OYP! Members of the musical theater company at Oconee Youth School of Performance will perform their award-winning solos and duet-trios from two recent Atlanta-area talent competitions on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Oconee Youth Theater. As usual with an OYP show, the final performance was bittersweet. And we hated to see the set and all the fun lobby decor come down. But that's theater life! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory had a great run -- and now for a little down time before we gear up for the next show in the spring.

What happened to the last Golden Ticket? Someone bought a Wonka bar at the Sunday matinee that contained it...but we don't know who, since no one stood up to go on stage at the end of the show. Alden, a crew member shown here, won one of the Chik-Fil-A coupons in the mini Wonka bars, but that's a different prize. If you've got the big Golden Ticket, please email [email protected].

Wonka-mania has overtaken Watkinsville!! Just three more chances to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and to buy a Wonka bar at intermission that may potentially contain a Golden Ticket! Ladies and gentleman, we had another Golden Ticket winner last night! The prize: 2 tickets to the next OYP show and photo with the cast at the end of the performance. Who will be next?
