Things stay busy at CGM and we have had the opportunity to create a lot of content for some fascinating clients. I am not the best at posting regular updates on these projects, but this sizzle gives a little insight into what we have been up to. Forgive the widescreen format on this reel…vertical video just strips away the scene and the frames for a lot of these projects that were created for widescreen consumption.

Real estate has given me the opportunity to build a business. This community has given me the opportunity to build something bigger. Here's a little of both.

Here are some images from the America 250 celebration last night at Thomas Farm as well as the new covered bridge that was installed a few weeks ago. This location is a very short walk from my gallery and creates a perfect opportunity for photography and being out in nature. I love having my business right in the heart of downtown Watkinsville, it is a fantastic place to live. Feel free to share with others! Hope you all have a very happy July 4th!

When we were in the Faroe Islands, Paul and I came across this herd of Scottish Highlands cows. Being the cow guy that I am (and since I was driving at the time), we immediately pulled off and I ran up the mountainside with my camera. Here are just a few of the roughly 400 photos I took of them. If you haven’t caught these episodes, they are airing now across the country and also can be streamed instantly on the free PBS app. I used my beloved SIGMA America 60-600 lens for these, which is now my favorite lens in my bag. We are starting to transition into pre-production for season 5, so stay tuned!

Exactly ten years ago today I posted this photo to my Instagram account. I had just purchased my first drone and started an IG account called “Upabovegeorgia” to share a new perspective of Georgia with an audience. I had absolutely NO clue what the next 10 years would bring, but life is kind of funny that way.
When my first book came out I changed my account name to “chrisgreerphotography” so that people who purchased it would be able to find me easily. That name has served me well for many years, but it no longer fully reflects all of my creative endeavors. As View Finders has grown and found a large audience across the U.S., I have had opportunities to do more video production outside of the show. During this time I began to feel a disillusionment with social media, with the algorithm, and with the games I had to play to chase “engagement” and relevancy. So I shared a lot less, spent just a fraction of my time on here, and really focused on these new creative endeavors.
Fast forward to 2026 and I have a fantastic team of people working with me at my studio in downtown Watkinsville. At any given time we have five or more active projects and the team gives me the time to also focus on my professor responsibilities at Georgia College. I’ll share more about my View Finders education initiative soon.
So once again my account name has changed to reflect the content that will be shared, along with the creative world in which I spend my time. You’ll see a mix of personal photography, corporate projects, documentaries, and of course, View Finders. I will still actively run this account, but you will also see some content from my social media manager Jax who runs our View Finders account and brings plenty of creative ideas to the table. I’m not sure if my feed will be engagement and algorithm friendly, but it should better reflect everything going on in my world and hopefully will pull back the curtain a little on my creative process.

I took this photo of the OC Veteran’s Memorial last year, and I can’t think of a more appropriate to share it. I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day.

Frame grabs from episode one of our travels in the Faroe Islands. This is a stunning and remote location in the North Atlantic and we had a blast exploring all of the islands. Part two comes out next. You can stream the whole season instantly on the free PBS app, or just check your local listings!

Here are a few frames from the current episode that showcases our adventures in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a visual feast and we learned SO much from the experts. The show is now airing all over the United States, or you can always stream it instantly to your tv on the free PBS app.

Here are some scenes from Necker Island, airing this week. It was by far one of the most incredible trips I have ever taken, and one that I will remember for the rest of my life. If you haven’t caught the episode, you can stream it anytime on PBS Passport.
