After five incredible years of movies, memories, birthday parties, sing-alongs, community events, and shared experiences, The Glen Theater will be closing its doors for the summer season.

This is not goodbye — it is a pause and a chance to reimagine what the future of our theater can become.

Over the years, we have seen firsthand how much this space means to our community. We believe the next chapter of The Glen Theater should grow beyond movies alone and become a true center for performing arts, live entertainment, education, creativity, and community connection.

We are now actively seeking a performing arts-based organization, nonprofit group.

Our dream is to see this beautiful space filled with energy, creativity, and opportunity for years to come.

To everyone who has supported us — by buying a ticket, renting the theater, volunteering, donating, sharing posts, or simply showing up — thank you. You helped keep movie magic alive in Watkins Glen during some very difficult years, and we are deeply grateful.

The story of The Glen Theater is not over yet. We believe the best chapter may still be ahead.

Reminder Minecraft Movie plays today and tomorrow at 2 pm. Also a great day for a stroll on Franklin St. We've got the popcorn ready!

Another showing of The LEGO Movie Part 2 (2019) tomorrow at 2 pm. Minecraft will be showing next weekend at 2 pm both days. Remember, April is the best time to use your tickets from Seneca Santa as grown ups get in free with a child redeeming a ticket.

With the warmer weather moving in we acknowledge more people will be outside so we will not be open the last week of the month. Two great features for the kids. If your kids received movie passes from Seneca Santa we are waiving the ticket price for the grown up attending with a child using the movie pass in April. Happy Spring!
