💜A VERY HARD GOODBYE… AND A NEW BEGINNING 🩵
To our Paint it! Pottery family,
This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to write.
After so many wonderful years, countless painted pieces, birthday parties, date nights, school trips, family days, first dates, celebrations, laughs, and memories… Paint it! Pottery is no longer operating at our New York location.
And yes—we know this is probably a shock.
This happened much more suddenly than we ever imagined it would, and we are truly sorry that we didn’t have the opportunity to give our New York customers the goodbye you deserved. If we could have stood at the door and hugged every one of you before we left, we would have.
Because the truth is, you were never just customers to us.
You became friends.
You became familiar faces we looked forward to seeing.
We watched your families grow.
We celebrated milestones with you.
We watched little kids come in and paint their first pieces and then come back years later as teenagers.
We heard your stories, laughed with you, helped you pick colors, cleaned up more paint than we can possibly count, and watched you create things that became part of your homes and your memories.
You helped make Paint it! Pottery what it was.
And for that, we will be forever grateful.
But this isn’t exactly goodbye. 💜
We have packed up Paint it! Pottery and brought it with us to Virginia, where we are working toward opening a new studio.
It’s a new chapter, in a new place, and there is still a lot to figure out before we can officially open our doors. But the dream isn’t over. In fact, we’re incredibly excited about what comes next.
Our New York location may be closed, but Paint it! Pottery is still alive.
We will be sharing updates here as our Virginia plans come together, so please stay with us. And if you’ve been part of our Paint it! Pottery family over the years, we hope you’ll continue to follow along.
To every person who ever walked through our doors:

Thank you for bringing your children.
Thank you for your date nights.
Thank you for your Christmas presents and Mother’s Day gifts.
Thank you for the messy little handprints.
Thank you for the giant family projects.
Thank you for the laughs.
Thank you for trusting us with your memories.
Most of all, thank you for allowing us to be a tiny part of your lives for all these years. It has been huge for us 💜
Leaving New York was not easy, and saying goodbye to all of you is probably the hardest part.
But we’re taking every one of those memories with us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Paint it! Pottery so special. 💜
