✨ Please Join Us in Welcoming Our New Children’s Program Ballet Teacher! ✨

Koltun Ballet Boston is delighted to welcome Mairi Jausseran to our faculty beginning Summer 2026! 🩰

Mairi began her classical ballet training in Honolulu at Hawaii State Ballet under John Landovsky before continuing her studies on scholarship at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. She further trained in Oslo under Natalia Papinashvili and completed her advanced studies at the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg under Ludmila Kovaleva Udalenkova.

Throughout her career, Mairi has competed internationally, including at the Varna International Ballet Competition, and has been a finalist at both the Serge Lifar Competition in Kyiv and Youth America Grand Prix in New York City.

As Ballet Mistress with Columbia Classical Ballet, she staged full-length productions of La Bayadère, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Études, while coaching students who have gone on to dance with companies including Het Nationale Ballet and Boston Ballet.

Now based in Boston, Mairi specializes in classical ballet instruction rooted in the Vaganova method and brings a wealth of knowledge, artistry, and teaching experience to young dancers.

Once again, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our beautiful senior ladies, Camryn & Laure, for placing in the Top 12 contemporary category duet “Scratch” in the World at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix competition! 🌎🏆✨ Houston Finals 2026.

Beautifully choreographed by our incredible London Mills, 2x YAGP Best Choreographer 2025/26 - this achievement is a true reflection of the artistry, dedication, passion, and hard work of everyone involved.

After 10 wonderful years at Koltun Ballet Boston, Vanessa is beginning an exciting new chapter this Fall, as she continues her higher education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring in kinesiology. Brava!

✨ We would like to extend our huge congratulations to our duet “Scratch” 🏆 small ensemble contemporary category for placing in the Top 12 in the World 🌎 at one of the most prestigious dance competitions in the world — Youth America Grand Prix in Houston, TX 2026!

Choreographed by our own honorary Koltun graduate and YAGP Best Choreographer choreographer 2025/26 London Mills, and beautifully performed by our incredible senior talented students Camryn Augustyn & Laure Rivard; this achievement is the result of tremendous dedication, artistry, discipline, and hard daily work from everyone involved.

Koltun Ballet Boston (KBB) is a renowned, award-winning classical ballet school in Watertown, MA, offering top-tier training for ages 3–19. Founded by former international stars Alexandra Koltun and Alex Lapshin, it provides a rigorous pre-professional program, children’s ballet, and summer intensives, using the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum & Vaganova school system classical fundamental training.

Founded by Experts: Established in 2011 by former principal dancers with the Boston Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and Mariinsky/Kirov Ballet, Alexandra Koltun and Alex Lapshin.
