Sweet End of Summer is happening TODAY at Zoo New York!

Come spend the day with us enjoying games, treats, hands-on activities and plenty of time to explore the zoo and visit the animals. It’s the perfect way to squeeze in one more summer adventure before the season slips away.

🎒 We’re also partnering with FROGGY 97, Classic Hits Z93.3, and 790wtny for the Stuff-a-Bus School Supply Drive! Bring new school supplies to donate and help local students start the school year strong. The first 25 guests who donate will receive 20% off admission.

🛠️ WISHLIST WEDNESDAY: SEND HELP. 😂

Our maintenance crew keeps Zoo New York running behind the scenes every single day… and apparently their equipment has decided it would also like to retire.

Exhibit A: the maintenance seat. 😳

We’re not saying it’s completely had it… but at this point, there may be more seat missing than seat remaining. 😂

This week’s Wishlist Wednesday item is a new replacement seat so our hardworking maintenance team can ride around the Zoo without becoming personally acquainted with springs, foam, and whatever is left under there.

Zoo New York is now accepting vendors for Brew at the Zoo, happening Saturday, September 12 from 3–7 PM!

We’re looking for local businesses and makers to help fill the zoo with great food, drinks, shopping and community fun. Opportunities are available for:

🍷 Local wineries
🎨 Craft and artisan vendors
🛍️ Local businesses and community organizations
🚚 Two food truck openings

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday at the SeaComm Butterfly House for our Monarch Butterfly Release! 🦋💛

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out, asked questions, learned alongside us, and helped us celebrate these incredible little pollinators. Moments like this are a beautiful reminder of why conservation, education, and connection with wildlife matter so much.

Thank you for spending part of your Saturday with us at Zoo New York. We hope the butterflies weren’t the only ones who left with a little extra joy. 🦋🌿

What a special day at Zoo New York! 💚👟
We were honored to be the backdrop for an incredible back-to-school surprise this weekend!!🐾

A huge thank you to the Urban Mission, Samaritan Medical Center and Shoemanitarian for coming together to make this experience possible for local families. We love seeing our community show up for kids in such a meaningful way. 💛

In Watertown, almost 70 kids were surprised Sunday with new, custom shoes ahead of the new school year.
