After much thought and consideration, no longer having the available time to fully dedicate myself to promoting the pageant and its title holders to the fullest extent needed, I have decided that it is the right time to pass the torch of the Mr and Miss Gay Empire State NY Pageant to a new owner and promoter. I would just like to first thank the community, the performers, contestants, past and current reigning title holders, and my friends and family who have supported this pageant. It was a pleasure working with all of you, and I know that things will only get better from here forward. Therefor, it is my pleasure to announce that the new owner and promoter of the Mr and Miss Gay Empire State NY Pageant is someone who has held not one, both both titles… my dear friend, the one and only Miss Amber Skyy! I feel confident that I could not have placed this pageant into better hands, and can’t wait to see where you take it from here. Congratulations 👏

First I would like to congratulate the new Mr and Miss Gay Empire State NY 2022 Juan Aguiar and Scarlett Skyy! Your victories are well deserved and I am honored to have you both join the Gay Empire State NY and DVEnt Productions family. A congratulation also goes out to our first alternates Seth Bacher and Drea Mars (Draden Braxton-Colon) for a job well done, you both did such an amazing job competing and definitely brought it to the table last night. I’m so very proud of all of you! Thank you to the one and only Miss Amber Skyy for everything you have done, both in helping make last nights pageant such a success, but also for 6 years of representing this title with everything you have, and for several more years of friendship. I love you dearly. I also want to thank our panel of judges Courtney Wells, Rachael Giargiano and Clifford Towndrow for taking on the difficult role of having to score the categories last night, I know how difficult a job it was as all of our contestants shines bright in their categories. Thank you also to miss Trisha Tyson Lalick for coming back to Empire to be a part of our evening. Thank you to our Auditors Rob Premo and Becky for doing such an amazing job with compiling the scores. Thank you to DJ Drex Nigil K Handy for providing our music for the evening and doing such an amazing job as always. Yet another thank you to Susie Yerdon and Jim Yerdon for running our doors and seating. A thank you goes out to the great staff at the Ramada of Watertown for helping us bring this event to life. To my dear friends and of course my mother who all helped me with so many behind the scenes projects to get the event put together, thank you for always supporting me. Finally, thank you to the community of Watertown, and for all those who traveled from other cities to be with us last evening and came to support our contestants and Amber Skyy at her step down. Your continued love and support makes all of it possible and I truly hope it was enjoyed by everyone in attendance…. Thank you 🙏
