This is a custom wall mount guitar hanger made for the recipient of our first original full custom guitar, using the same Walnut as in the neck and the same Rainbow Poplar as the in body. We weren't sure if it could be fixed after it broke. We are thrilled with how it turned out!

We promised you HUGE news, and here it is: the debut of the first, original, full custom guitar build from Chiron MusicWorks, LLC! This is a very special presentation in honor of Father's Day, as this guitar build has been designed, customized, specifically equipped, and built to be a gift from a father to his son, both of whom share a love of music, and both are performing musicians. The son has also recently become a father of his first child, and is a United States Marine who just returned from a lengthy deployment.

We absolutely loved every step of creating this instrument! We think it turned out exceptionally well, even better than we could have imagined, in terms of how it looks, how it plays, how it feels, and how it sounds. Also, corrections:
1) The neck has White Limba (Korina) in the center, and two outer pieces of slightly darker colored White Limba (Korina).
2) The frets have "semi-hemispherical" ends, NOT "semi-helical" ends. smh
3) The inlay plate on the back of the body is also White Limba (Korina).

We know we have been away far too long, but we are back! There has been a lot going on, we have been very busy and we are excited to tell you about it! Hello! Hope you're all doing well! It was suggested to me to post these photos because they were mixed in with other photos and may not have been seen by many. This is a custom pickup cover we made for the Fishman SSA pickup we mounted in the Fishman AST Powerbridge on this current Centaur Legacy custom guitar build. It's made from the same piece of Indonesian Blackwood as the fretboard and control cavity cover plate. Hi everyone! Here's a few photos/videos of a couple custom touches we added to this build. First, pocketing out the pickup cavity, leaving room in case the owner decides to change to a humbucker at some point in the future. Next, we created a custom pickup cover for the Fishman SSA pickup out of the same piece of Indonesian Blackwood as the fretboard and control cavity cover plate, and the pickup cover mounting fl**ge out of two laminate layers of Black Limba (not pictured here). Finally, we created an output jack plate, again out of the same piece of Indonesian Blackwood. These photos/videos were made a while back, and we're extremely excited to be presenting the finished instrument to the customer very soon! Hello! Hope you're all doing well! Here are a few photos of the fretting process on this Centaur Legacy build. First, the location of the Graphtech TUSQ XL nut is determined and cut to the highest degree of accuracy and precision. In the same set up we program and cut the fret slots on our CNC mill using a 0.023" diameter carbide end mill, ensuring a precise and accurate fret location, proper press fit of the fret tang, and accurate intonation. We make one "scratch cut" to ensure proper location (making sure the inlay at the 12th fret, and thus the fret marker and inlay dots, are centered at each location), and then a second pass to the final depth. We use the Stewmac fret press to fully seat the hemispheric ended frets. Next, the level, crown, and polish process is completed using P400 sandpaper on our precision ground sanding beam, a Hosco 180, 400, and 1000 grit fret eraser, and two grades of buffing compound. This, we believe, gives this instrument, and our Jescar frets (traditional profile Nickel silver frets in this case) the best possible finish and playability. Sorry it's been so long since our last post! Here are a few photos and short videos showing some preliminary inlay work, the actual inlay work, creating the Gabon Ebony side marker dots, the Gabon Ebony and Rainbow Poplar fret marker dots, and the Gabon Ebony and Rainbow Poplar 12th fret Cross inlay. It was challenging work, but also very fun and very rewarding, and the fine control, accuracy, and precision of our vertical mill really help the process and the finished work. We really love how it turned out. It is absolutely beautiful, particularly in the sunlight. We hope you are all doing well, and we thank you for taking the time to check in with us! The acoustic chambers milled into each half of the body of our current Centaur Legacy 6-string guitar build. First, the vividly colorful two piece Rainbow Poplar back, and second, the beautiful book matched Black Limba (Korina) top (these chambers are not cut to the full depth in this photo). When combined with the Piezo equipped Fishman AST Powerbridge, this instrument will create some really beautiful acoustic tones. We will be installing a single coil sized splitable humbucker, as well. This guitar will also have Jescar stainless steel frets, Hipshot tuners, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, and Dunlop Dual Design Strap Locks (standard offerings on all instruments built by Chiron MusicWorks, LLC., though we welcome you, the customer, to choose whatever specifications you desire).
