It 's been such a busy summer! Not our choice! : However, our Orion Art Gallery & Studio will need to be closed for the remainder of August for building maintenance! We are planning to re-open on Wednesday, Sept. 2 for regular hours.

Great day at the Thousand Islands Winery! Congrats to plein air award winners Hught Tifft, Manlius NY 1st, Cindy Morris, Dover Delaware 2nd, Jan Byington, Clayton, 3rd, Jerry Merrill, Rodman NY Honorable Mention. Cheryl Simeone, Three Mile Bay Outstanding 1000 Islands/Golden Crescent, and Mary Mitchell, Alexandria Bay Outstanding City/Villagescape painting! Judge was Jennifer Pepper, of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, and we are grateful for her outsanding selections. Congratulations to the bidders and buyers who went home with some beautiful original paintings today, all with partial proceeds benefitting Zoo New York! A great cause! Thank you to this year's sponsors Clayton Island CLAYTON ISLAND TOURS, and Focal FOCAL POINT Custom Framing for supporting us, and a big shoutout of thanks to Aleta and Thousand Islands Winery for working with us, and making their beautiful winery available! We found some Artists painting today at the Thousand Islands Winery! Here's a peak of some of theirs and a few other's! Can't wait to see what everyone's doing! We have Artists from all over the country! Delaware, Virginia and the state of Washington!! We can't wait to see you all Sunday at 11!!

Our 2 day Plein Air Workshop was absolutely amazing!! Cheryl LaBahn Simeone is the master of clouds and we had plenty of them with some rain to boot! Day brought sunshine and all the cast shadows Jan Byington needed for her demonstration on shadows, tones, cools and warms. We couldn't have asked for better weather for the demonstrations prepared and they picked the best spots for the classes as well! All the students walked away with beautiful works worthy to be hung in a gallery! Early sign ups kicked off in full speed with 12 Artists already in 2 hours!!! Let the games begin!!!
